Een prachtige, grote camping aan een baai met diverse privéstranden. Licht hellend terrein met voldoende schaduw van bomen. Vele watersportmogelijkheden. In de nabije omgeving zijn opgravingen te bezoeken. Een boottocht naar de Maddalena Archipel en een bezoek aan Porto Cervo zijn aanraders. Er wordt een gelimiteerd aantal toerplaatsen aangeboden waar honden zijn toegestaan. Prachtige natuurcamping.

Wij verbleven begin juni op dit grote resort en waren onder de indruk van de prachtige ligging en de verzorgde, terrasvormige staanplaatsen. De camping is ruim opgezet en beschikt over modern en brandschoon sanitair – absoluut een pluspunt. We kwamen van een eenvoudige maar fantastische hondencamping in het zuiden, met faciliteiten zoals een hondenstrand en een hondenzwembad. In vergelijking daarmee is Camping Issoleda zeker hondvriendelijk, maar met temperaturen boven de 30 graden liepen we tegen een beperking aan: honden zijn enkel welkom op het strand vóór 8 uur ’s ochtends en na 20 uur ’s avonds. Overdag is er voor hen nauwelijks verkoeling, wat bij dit weer wel echt nodig is. Gelukkig mochten we dagelijks even met onze honden zwemmen achter het boothuisje van de vriendelijke eigenaar van de botenverhuur – een klein gebaar dat we erg hebben gewaardeerd. Wat we helaas als minder prettig hebben ervaren, was de geluidsoverlast in de avond en nacht. De muziek van de discotheken aan de overkant van de baai klonk tot laat door over het water, versterkt door de akoestiek van de omgeving. Het was verrassend hoe sterk dit doorklonk, zeker gezien het feit dat ons verblijf nog vóór het hoogseizoen viel. Al met al is de camping prachtig en goed verzorgd, maar de combinatie van beperkte mogelijkheden voor honden tijdens warme dagen en de nachtelijke geluidsoverlast maakt dat wij voor onze volgende vakantie weer kiezen voor de rust van een kleinere, hondvriendelijke camping in het zuiden.
