In de Italiaanse regio Abruzzen, direct aan de Adriatische Zee, ligt Camping Heliopolis. Je kampeert op ongeveer 30 kilometer van de badplaats Pescara. De regio is nog relatief onbekend en er valt hier genoeg moois te ontdekken, van pittoreske dorpjes tot imposante bergketens. Op de camping zijn verschillende soorten kampeerplaatsen te kiezen en er zijn ook huuraccommodaties, zoals bungalows en mobile homes. Er is een mooi zwembad, een privéstrand met ligbedjes en parasols, een Italiaans restaurant en animatie voor het hele gezin.

Aan zee, maar ook niet ver van de bergen. Er zijn veel mogelijkheden tot excursies, bijvoorbeeld naar Chieti, Rome en Atri. Minder dan een uur van L'Aquila. Opvallend goede voorzieningen: restaurant, bar en een prachtig zwembad. Voor fietsliefhebbers is er de Via Verde dei Trabocchi.

De xl plaats was prima maar heel ver van de oorspronkelijke helipoli voorzieningen dit gedeelte staat niet op de camping side dus misleidend

Geweldige tijd bij Heliopolis
Er zouden meer vakantiegasten moeten komen in juni. Het is een TOPCAMPING.

we waren hier in voor seizoen mei zonder kinderen. Entertainment is er dan nog niet. Elke camperplaats heeft eigen toilet,bidet, douche en wastafel. Heel bijzonder en erg comfortabel. Beetje nauw inparkeren maar met aanwijzingen personeel ging dat prima. Direct aan het strand. In tegenstelling tot vooraf liggende campings zijn deze staanplaatsen dicht bij zee en heb je geen noemenswaardige last van de treinen.
